CB Artisan Bakery Ltd., operating as COBS Bread Sydney, is a locally operated retail bakery located at 220 Welton Street, Sydney, Nova Scotia. We prepare and sell fresh bread and other baked goods, with a focus on product quality, freshness and customer service. We are currently building our team and are looking for reliable and motivated individuals to join our bakery operations.

Schedule: Early morning shifts starting at 3:00 a.m.; weekend and holiday availability may be required.

Job Duties
•Read recipes and daily production sheets to organize baking tasks and required quantities.
•Weigh and measure ingredients accurately, then mix doughs and batters using the specified methods.
•Divide, round, mould and shape dough for loaves, rolls and sweet baked goods.
•Monitor dough development, fermentation and proofing according to bakery procedures.
•Operate mixers, dough-processing equipment, proofing equipment and ovens safely.
•Bake products at the required settings and check their appearance, texture and consistency.
•Prepare fillings, toppings and finishes for the products assigned to the baker.
•Follow food-safety procedures, store ingredients correctly and clean equipment and work areas.
•Coordinate with the production team to complete the bake on time and report shortages, waste or equipment issues.

Employment Requirements
•High school education or equivalent experience.
•1 to 2 years of commercial baking or food industry experience is required.
•Ability to follow written recipes and production procedures accurately.
•Ability to measure ingredients accurately and work efficiently as part of a bakery production team.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive bakery production tasks.
•Must be available to begin work at 3:00 a.m.
•Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
