Job Description
A family residing in Surrey (Yoon), BC V4N 6W9 is seeking a Child Caregiver to work in a private home.
Position: Child Caregiver – Private Home
Vacancy: 1
Wage: CAD$ 20.00 per week
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 30~40 hours per week
Benefits: 4% vacation pay
Job Duties:
• Supervise and care for the child in the employer’s home.
• Assist the child with bathing, dressing, toileting and personal care as needed.
• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Perform light housekeeping duties related to the child’s care.
• Oversee the child’s daily activities, including meals, rest periods, playtime and routines, as instructed by the employer.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean environment in the home.
• Instruct and assist the child with personal hygiene and age-appropriate self-care.
• Support the child’s emotional well-being and encourage positive social development.
• Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the parents.
• Organize and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities such as games, crafts, reading, outdoor play, and outings.
• Accompany the child to and from appointments, activities, and outings as required.
• Keep the parents informed of the child’s daily activities, behaviour, and any health-related concerns.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Minimum 6 months of child care experience or completion of a training program in child care or a related field is required.
• Criminal record clearance is required.
• Language at work: English.
