Wage: $21.00/hour
Experience: 1-2 years (dairy cattle)
Education: Basic

Duties: Feeding and watering dairy cows and calves. Milking cows and maintaining proper milking procedures. Monitoring cows for illness, injury or unusual behavior. Assisting with calving and caring for newborn calves. Administering medications and vaccinations as directed. Cleaning and maintaining barns pens, milking equipment and feeding areas. Handing and moving cattle safely. Monitoring feed supplies and helping prepare rations. Recording animal health, milk production and treatment information. Maintaining cleanliness and following animal-welfare and biosecurity standards. Operating farm equipment and performing basic maintenance as required. Reporting health, production or equipment problems to the farm manager. General farm duties as required.

Weekend work is required, including Sundays, on a schedule. Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
