Bezco Farming Inc., located in Coaldale, AB is seeking for a Farm Foreman. English speaking workplace. Rural area. Permanent-Fulltime.

Wage: $37.50/hour

Duties:
Operating modern agricultural equipment safely and efficiently. Operating tractors, sprayers, fertilizer equipment, harvest equipment, trucks, and other farm machinery. Assisting with planting, crop maintenance, harvesting, and other seasonal field operations. Operating and maintaining irrigation equipment. Performing commercial pesticide and fertilizer applications as required. Performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on agricultural equipment. Assisting with welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications when required. Monitoring equipment condition and reporting mechanical problems to management. Assisting with the setup, maintenance, and repair of farm equipment and support equipment. Supporting crop harvesting, handling, storage, and other farm operations as required. Maintaining accurate application, maintenance, and operational records. Following all workplace safety, pesticide handling, environmental, and farm procedures. Assisting with training and directing seasonal employees when required. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain quality control and production records. Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations. Performing other agricultural duties as required by farm management.

Overtime hours will be required during busy season and occasional weekends as required. (including Sundays)
Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
Responsible for providing steel-toed work boots and coveralls.

*Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license (Class 1 will be an asset)
*Pesticide applicator certificate
*First Aide Certificate
