Salary: $51.00 per hour
Job responsibilities
• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the administrative operations of the insurance brokerage to ensure efficient day-to-day business activities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor administrative policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve operational efficiency and regulatory RIBO compliance.
• Manage and supervise administrative staff, including assigning work, monitoring performance, conducting evaluations, and providing training and guidance.
• Oversee records management systems to ensure the secure maintenance of client files, insurance documents, contracts, and corporate records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and provincial regulations, privacy legislation, company policies, and industry standards.
• Plan, administer, and control departmental budgets, including office expenses, equipment purchases, technology, and administrative supplies.
• Coordinate human resources administration, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, scheduling, and workplace policy implementation.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with office vendors, equipment suppliers, software providers, and other service providers
Employment Requirements
• Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills required.
• College Diploma in Business Administration
• 2 years’ to less than 3 years is required in administrative services or business administration.
• Professional, reliable, and well organized
• Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Highly effective client services and organizational skills
• Ability to handle a very busy, fast-paced office setting.
• Team player and highly adaptive to work in culturally diverse environment.
Start date: ASAP.
Work hours: Minimum 35 to 40 hours per week.
