Job Description

Responsibilities:
– Check forms, granular base and steel reinforcement materials.
– Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
– Fill hollows and remove high spots from freshly poured concrete.
– Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
– Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specifications.
– Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
– Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and embedded fixtures.
– Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure concrete surfaces.
– Waterproof and repair concrete surfaces as required.
– Repair, resurface and replace damaged sections of concrete structures.
– Follow project specifications, safety procedures and quality control requirements.
– Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements
– Minimum 2 years of experience as a Concrete Finisher.
– Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
– WHMIS certification considered an asset.
– Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
– Ability to perform physically demanding work.
– Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
– Valid driver’s license considered an asset.
