Appleyard Land and Cattle, 304 3rd Ave Strathmore, AB T1P 1Z1, is seeking a General Farm Worker. Full-time, English speaking workplace.

WAGE: $20-25/hour (depending on experience)
Education: Basic
Experience: 1 year

Duties: Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repairs on farm buildings, including barns, sheds, fences and gates. Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, loaders mowers and irrigation equipment. Conduct basic mechanical repairs and preventtive maintenance on tools and equipment. Assist with planting, cultivating, irrigating and harvesting crops as needed. Maintain all farm yards, waterers, pens, shops and barns. Feed, water, and assist in the care of livestock, including cleaning pens and barns. Install, repair and maintain fencing to ensure safety and security of livestock and property. Maintain and repair irrigation systems, ensuring proper water distribution. Clear debris, maintain farm roads and ensure work areas are clean and safe. Perform seasonal duties such as snow removal, equipment winterization and land preparation. Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment. Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards or repair needs to supervisors.

Must be able to work in ALL weather conditions, all year long. Must be able to work weekends, including Sundays.
