Imaginarium Daycare is established licensed home daycare in Victoria with many years of experience providing a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for children. We are currently looking to hire an experienced daycare supervisor (ECE) to join our team and support our growing daycare community.

Position: Daycare Supervisor (ECE)
Working Condition: $27.00/hour, 40 hours/week (Full-time, Permanent)
Work Location: 881 Darwin Avenue, Victoria, BC V8X 2X7 – Licensed Home daycare
Vacation: 4% vacation fee
Benefits: BC enhancement applies separately
Available Position: 1

+Qualifications needed:
– Valid Infant/Toddler/Special Needs Educator and ECE License to practice in British Columbia
– Valid First Aid Certificate
– A clear Criminal Records Check and up-to-date Immunization Records are required
– 2 references related to childcare or ECE experience are required
– Minimum 5 years of Childcare experience in a licensed childcare facility, including at least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience as an ECE
– College Diploma related to child growth/development or Child Care is required
– Able to work collaboratively with the team and provide a positive co-teaching environment
– Responsible, honest, and reliable with strong values and ethics
– Supervision: 3 to 4 children
– Language: English

+Job Duties:
– Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children’s learning and development
– Ensure the health, safety and emotional wellbeing of the children
– Provide excellent supervision and interaction with children at all times
– Maintain a clean, organized, and safe daycare environment and equipment
– Attend staff meetings to discuss children’s progress and concerns
– Monitor children during indoor and outdoor activities and interact with the children to enhance their learning
– Communicate effectively with parents, co-workers and other staff members
– Promote feelings of security and trust in children
– Observe and record children’s growth, behavior, and development, and discuss these with parents and staff
– Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers or guide children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
– Prepare snacks and assist with daily routines for infants, toddlers or children with special needs as needed
– Maintain a positive and calm attitude towards children, parents and volunteers
– Assist ECE or other staff members in carrying out programs that support children’s development
– Supervise ECE-As and ECEs (including other staff, trainees, or volunteers) when required
– Perform other related duties as required
