Phoenix Construction Systems Ltd. located in Abbotsford; BC is currently hiring 2 full-time Drywall Installers for their growing team.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: $37.00 per hour
Start date: As soon as possible
Work locations: Various job sites in Abbotsford, BC and other areas of Lower Mainland (BC), and Fraser Valley as per the company’s contracts with its clients.

Job duties:

• Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
• Install drywall sheets and secure them to wooden or metal studs.
• Organize and carry out work procedures for installation and removal.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
• Tape the joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound.
• Smooth out the excess compound and allow the coat to dry before applying additional layers.
• Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• Follow all occupational health and safety procedures on the work site.

Job Requirements

• Completion of an Apprenticeship program in the trade or a Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar trade is required.
• Effective communication skills.

• Financial assistance for relocation from other provinces or regions will be provided up to $1000.00 for qualified candidates.
