Job requirements

Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as Drywall Installer are required

Job details:

Salary: $29.00 hourly for 30 hours per week
Location: Various locations in BC
Vacancies: Two (2)

Skills

• Measure, cut, and install drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layouts to determine installation requirements.
• Secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs using screws, nails, or adhesives.
• Install corner beads and joint trims to reinforce edges and create smooth finishes.
• Tape, fill, and finish joints using joint compound to prepare surfaces for painting.
• Sand and smooth surfaces to ensure a uniform finish.
• Repair and replace damaged drywall sections as required.
• Apply acoustic or decorative wall and ceiling panels, where applicable.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain tools and equipment.
