Lead Welder
• Location: 180 Advance Boulevard, Brampton, ON L6T 4J4
• Work location: On site
• Salary 36.00 hourly / 32 to 35 hours per week
• Terms of employment: Permanent employment Full-time
• Shifts: Evening, Shift, Flexible Hours, Morning, On call, Day, Weekend, Overtime required

Certification/ Licence Requirements:
CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) certification is required.

Responsibilities
Tasks
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
• Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
• Weld or braze components
• Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
• Fit and weld parts together
• Ensure safety procedures are followed
• Perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
• Develop procedures to clean up contaminated sites
• Plan repair work to be performed
• Installing machinery and equipment
• Assemble and fit metal and prefabricated parts to close tolerances according to blueprints
