Qualification and requirement:
• Completion of diploma 1 year to 2 years
• 7 Months to less than one year of experience is required.
• Ability to communicate, read and write in English is must.
• Familiarity with welding tools and procedures
• Must be organized and team oriented
• Ability to follow instructions and should have attention to details
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet project deadlines
• Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics
• Ability to handle physical load
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate material requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures including framing for residential and commercial buildings.
• Build foundations, floor systems, walls, and roof structures according to building codes and project plans.
• Install doors, windows, stairs, mouldings, hardware, and cabinetry.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work complies with Canadian building codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site in accordance with occupational health and safety requirements.
• Estimate costs and materials for projects when required.
