A family in Nanaimo, BC V9S 0A8 is looking for a Child care provider who will be working in a private home.

Position: Child care provider – private home
Vacancy: 1
Wage: CAD$ 20.13/hour
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 30~40 hours/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay

Job Duties:
• Supervise and care for children in employer’s home
• Assist children with daily personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children
• May perform other housekeeping duties
• Oversee children’s daily routines, including meals, rest periods, and activities as directed by the parents
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean environment in the home
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and healthy habits
• Support the emotional well-being of children and encourage positive social development
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Organize and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings
• Accompany children to and from school, appointments, and activities as required
• Take children to and from school and appointments
• Keep daily records of children’s activities, behavior, and health-related information

Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• Minimum 6 months of child care experience or completion of a training program in child care or a related field required.
• Criminal records clearance required.
