Sazon Mexican Cuisine is looking for an experienced Cook to join our team.

Job Title: Cook (Permanent)
Employer: Sazon Mexican Cuisine Ltd. o/a Sazon Mexican Cuisine
Working Location: 2698 W. 4th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6K 1P7
Working Hours: 30-40 hrs/wk (Full-time)
Wage: $20.00/hr (Overtime will be paid at 1.5 time the regular wage after working 8 hrs per day and/or after 40 hrs per week.)
Benefit: 4 % vacation fee or 10 days paid vacation
Available position(s): 1

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Prepare and cook meals and/or individual dishes according to recipes, product quality, portion, and presentation standards,
– Maintain organization and cleanliness of workstation, kitchen, and storerooms,
– Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
– Maintain inventory of food, supplies, equipment, and check freshness of food and ingredients,
– Oversee kitchen operations and ensure sanitation practices and kitchen safety standards are followed.

Qualifications:
– Completion of secondary school is required.
– 1-2 years of commercial cooking experience are required.

Completion of apprenticeship program for cooks.
or
Completion of college or other program in cooking.
– Must be able to communicate in English
