• Salary: $19.44 hourly / 40.00 to 60.00 hours per week
• Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Early morning, On call, Day, Weekend, Overtime required

Responsibilities
Tasks
• Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals
• Diagnose livestock health issues
• Handling animals
• Monitoring animal health
• Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly
• Track and report on current feed inventory
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
• Formulate feeding program
• Maintain livestock performance records
• Maintain quality control and production records
• Milk cows
• Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
• Maintain work records and logs
• Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
• Perform general farm duties
• Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops

Experience and specialization
Equipment and machinery experience: Bulk handling system, Milking system (automated), Tractor, Farm truck, Loader, Hand tools
Automated systems experience: Manure handling and storage
Area of specialization: Dairy cattle, Robotic equipment and systems
