Laing Roofing is looking for 5 Full-Time Roofing Technicians (NOC 73110)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, $31.00-40.00/hour, with benefits after 3 months of working.

Job Description

Tasks:
– Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
– Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
– Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
– Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings
– Repair roofing systems
– Instruct apprentices
– Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
– Install sheet metal flashings
– Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
– Cut materials using power tools or by hand
– Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment

Job Requirements:
– Minimum 3 years of roofing experience
– Minimum completion of high school or equivalent
– Language in the workplace is English
– Credentials: Fall Protection Training and WHMIS Certificate
