Job Description

One full-time position. Work Saturday to Tuesday from 8AM – 4:30 PM, Wednesday from 8AM – noon, and Friday from 5PM to 9PM for 40 hours a week. Duties include: administering medications, assisting the recipient of care with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, assist with regular exercise like walking, laundering and mending clothing and linens. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, provide companionship and personal care, prepare and serve nutritious meals.

Required languages: English

Education level: Secondary (High) school diploma or equivalent experience

Required skills: Ability to bend, crouch and kneel, job requires sitting, standing for long periods and walking, ability to handle weight of up to 100 kg (220 lbs), physically demanding, repetitive tasks, and the ability to work under pressure.

Additional skills / Assets: non-smoking and scent sensitive working environment. Immunization, vulnerability and criminality checks required. Must be punctual, have a client focus, be dependable, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be flexible, able to show initiative, judgement, reliability, patience, honesty and good organizational skills.
