Fourpoint Bridge Services Ltd is looking for two (2) Full-Time Metal Fabricators (NOC 72104)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 44 hours per week, $32.00 to $40.00/hour, with benefits.
Job Description:
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine materials, dimensions, and project specifications.
• Plan the sequence of tasks to efficiently fabricate and assemble components, including constructing patterns and templates as layout guides.
• Lay out reference points and patterns on heavy metal materials based on design specifications.
• Cut, grind, or chip excess metal from components using hand tools or powered equipment to ensure clean, precise finishes.
• Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machinery—including brake presses, shears, cutting torches, grinders, drills, and CNC equipment—to bend, punch, form, or cut metal parts.
• Weld miscellaneous steel components and structural parts using appropriate techniques.
• Align and weld or bolt steel units in place to assemble subunits or complete structures.
• Position and secure steel bars or metal mesh within concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures.
• Install fabricated metal components and timber decks on bridges or other construction projects.
• Operate electric hand tools and related equipment to assist in cutting, welding, grinding, and assembly tasks.
• Rig, hoist, load, and move materials to and from the worksite using hand trucks, dollies, or lifting equipment.
• Dismantle metal structures or equipment as required for modification or removal.
• Clean work areas and maintain tools and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the trade
• Welding certificate recognized by the CWB is an asset
• Language in the workplace is English
