Job Description

Are you interested in working with youth ages 11- 16? Do you enjoy adventure and recreation and look for a fun unique opportunity? Do you have a valid unrestricted CLASS 4 Drivers License?

Youth Services is looking for front line workers who have youth experience or interested in gaining youth experience, who can be the driver for youth camps adventure camps this summer. You will work closely with the Assistant Program Coordinators – Youth Services, and encourage youth to be active and social during out trips and camps.

If you have some of the following characteristics and qualifications, we want to hear from you:
• You have completed courses in Community Recreation, Child and Youth Care, Social Services or a related field.
• You have experience or interested in gaining experience engaging with youth aged 11 – 16 in a recreation environment.
• You possess strong leadership skills with the ability to be an effective team player.
• You have the ability to handle conflict
• You have a valid First Aid Level 1 certificate.
• Valid unrestricted Class 4 BC Driver’s License.
• You will be required to pass and maintain a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.

*The successful candidates will be scheduled 30 – 40 hours per week for 2 weeks of the summer (July 21 – 25 August 11 – 15) – daytime hours.
