Wage: $18 per hour, 30–40 hours per week

The Keg Steakhouse & Bar in Prince George BC is seeking experienced, dedicated, and passionate Cooks to join our kitchen team. You will play a key role in preparing high-quality food in accordance with The Keg’s standards while maintaining cleanliness, efficiency, and safety in the kitchen.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with The Keg’s culinary and plating standards.
• Keep work areas, utensils, and food storage areas clean and organized
• Ensure proper food handling and safety protocols are followed at all times
• Monitor stock and keep accurate records of ingredients, materials, and tools used in the kitchen.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Assist with portion control and help minimize food waste
• Perform opening, closing, and cleaning duties as required
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
• Education: Completion of high school preferred
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of commercial cooking experience required
• Language: Must be able to communicate in English
Skills:
• Knowledge of various cooking methods and procedures
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
